4Drive Turkey is a booking platform that links travellers with local vehicle providers in Turkish cities and at airports. We specialise in 4x4 vehicles, SUVs, pickups, and standard cars suited to mountain roads, coastal highways, and urban routes. Our partners operate rental desks at airports, downtown offices, and hotel delivery points across the country.
The platform emerged from demand for transparent vehicle booking in regions where gravel tracks, steep gradients, and cross-border permits require clear information. Every listing shows the specific requirements for that vehicle - deposit amount, accepted payment methods, and included features - before you complete the booking.
The booking process has four stages. First, you search by pick-up location and dates. Results display available vehicles with details: drive type (AWD, 4WD, 2WD), transmission, fuel policy, mileage limits, and the deposit amount held by the rental company.
Second, you pay a booking advance online by card to secure the reservation. The system confirms your booking and sends a voucher immediately. Third, the voucher lists the local company name, their contact details, pick-up address (airport desk, city office, or hotel delivery), and the balance payment method accepted for that specific vehicle.
Fourth, at pick-up you present your voucher and driving licence, sign the rental agreement with the local provider, inspect the vehicle for existing damage (recorded in the contract), and drive away. The rental company handles the deposit hold, vehicle handover, and return inspection. Optional extras - second driver, child seat, HGS toll transponder for motorways, cross-border permit for Greece or Georgia - are arranged and paid at the desk if you added them during booking.
4Drive Turkey operates in nine cities and five airports. Coastal locations include Antalya, Alanya, Bodrum, Izmir, Kemer, Side, and Belek. Inland hubs cover Ankara and Kayseri, the gateway to Cappadocia. Istanbul serves both European and Asian districts.
Airport desks operate at Antalya (AYT), Dalaman (DLM), Istanbul (IST), Izmir (ADB), and Bodrum-Milas (BJV). Pick-up times are chosen during booking and match the operating hours of each partner company. Downtown offices and hotel delivery extend coverage beyond terminal zones.
Selected vehicles on our platform are available with no deposit held by the rental company. This arrangement removes the need for a large credit card limit or a hold that ties up funds during your trip. The excess (franchise) still applies if damage occurs, but no security block is placed on your card at pick-up.
No-deposit vehicles are clearly marked in search results. The absence of a deposit is independent of insurance coverage - the vehicle still carries standard liability protection and collision damage waiver with an excess amount. Check each listing for the specific excess figure and whether additional coverage options are available at the rental desk.
For vehicles that do require a deposit, we recommend checking your card limit before travel. The hold is released after you return the vehicle undamaged, but processing times vary by bank and can take several days.
